Building an effective real estate team requires the right balance of support and sales staff. Determining the right hiring order will often depend on your goals. If you want to focus more on freeing up time for lead generation, you might consider hiring a transaction coordinator. If you want someone to double your output and generate passive income, you might consider hiring a buyers agent.

However, roles like buyers agents which bring in money require administrative support. Your first hire should be an administrator who can handle time consuming, day-to-day tasks to give you more bandwidth to lay the foundation for a buyers agent. Once you’ve decided between a personal assistant or a transaction coordinator as your first support hire, here are the next roles you need to fill to start your real estate team.

With transactions happening between the 5th and 12th touch point, ISAs play an important role in the lifecycle of your pipeline.

Buyers agent. This role is your key to increased sales volume and decreased bandwidth. Hiring your first buyers agent will allow you to focus on other aspects of your business, including listings, marketing, following up with past clients, and leveraging your SOI to generate referrals.
