Coaching is a lot about the knowledge of the person hired to impart wisdom — the coach — and the lessons he or she imparts to their client. However, successful learning in real estate also depends on a couple of other important factors — particularly technology. If you’re a real estate agent and you want to get better at what you do, it’s imperative for you to utilize all the tech tools at your disposal in order to make sure you’re on par with your competition and appealing to a wide audience. Here are a few ways I think that all real estate agents should be using technology to become better at their jobs.

Conveniently Connecting with Others

It’s no secret that the internet is an amazing resource for connecting with other people. So, you should be using it in exactly that way — especially when it comes to connecting with a real estate coach who can help you grow. You could, for example, use the web to access a platform like the one I created, called LEVO, which gives real estate agents easy access to coaches with a wide variety of expertise. You should take advantage of the convenience and ease the internet affords when it comes to finding someone you can learn from.

YouTube as a Resource

Making a connection with a person in real time isn’t the only way that technology can help a real estate agent learn. YouTube is an amazing resource for learning — where you can find an endless amount of information about how to do pretty much anything. I think all real estate agents should use YouTube for learning, but also for promoting themselves. YouTube is an excellent place to start building a brand and growing your reputation as a thought leader.

On-Demand Help

One of the best parts about the internet is that it’s always there when you need it. If you’re a real estate agent, you may not want — or may not be able to afford — coaching all the time. However, you may encounter a situation from time to time that you need help with. For that reason, you can turn to the internet to get on-demand help. Finding a coach who you can work with for just one problem or area ensures that you master the new skills or area you were having trouble with, but on the schedule and at the pace that you need, without having to invest in a long-term relationship, if that’s not what you need right now.

In our next installment, we’ll talk about the tools you need to really shine.
